Today, as many of you have already heard, two planes, bound for LAX, were diverted by hijackers, by terrorists who then forced the planes to crash into both world trade centers and then later the pentagon was also hit by a third plane (a fourth plane also crashed in PA). Why do people ridicule others? Why do we fear what we can not understand. People are quick to notice another person's awkwardness or mistakes just to crack a joke and laugh. We all need laughter but not at the expense of others (of course sometimes we can not help it but sometimes we deliberately poke fun at other people). We are the only creatures on earth that place so much value on how we dress; that it is necessary to be part of the "in-crowd" and we deem the rest as outcasts...

Do you believe psychics can really see one's future? Throughout the span of history we find records of ancient oracles and prophets (i.e. Nostrodamus) who claim too "see" the intangible such as spirits, the future etc... It seems strange that in this day and age spiritualism is becoming more widespread, and more people turn to the occult for guidance...Whether or not what these psychics say is true, I feel it is dangerous to seek them for guidance or for curiosity's sake. religion in general is a sensitive topic, but it shouldn't be. Is there any coincidence that people in a bind or approaching death hold religion tighter than anyone? absolutely not. it only reinforces that religion is a remedy for psychological disposition. and to a degree, i think that because of this freud was right when he said that anyone who believes in religion has a psychosis.

I was just thinking that maybe people who suffer from multiple personalities may have been born with many different spirits. This is a spiritual side to this mental disorder. Recently, a friend told me that there was a lady who had around a hundred personalities. Some where male, some female, but the strange part was that she was able to speak different languages, but how could she?, she grew up in the US. I think we are coming to an age where it is easier to settle problems using violence than talking it out with others(i.e. the San Diego school shooting). Do you think that if guns were wiped out completely the world would be safer? I feel that by our nature we will still find ways to harm one another if someone hurts us physically, but I think the easy accesibility of guns is making it easier for us to kill. Will we reach an age where every man, woman and child will have a gun, I don't know...
